Season of Giving- Starring Jessica Kueker & Melissa Brinkman

Today we are featuring the generosity of Jessica Kueker and Melissa Brinkman, both Realtors at Rockhill Real Estate Group. As the craziness of the holidays intensifies over the next 5 days, this is a great opportunity to showcase what these two have done throughout the year as we highlight different organizations in our community. Let's get started with Jessica Kueker.

In 2011, after the loss of her sister to brain cancer and a diagnosis of her infant niece with Retinoblastoma, Jessica and a fellow MOMS Club member organized a benefit 5K run to help one local family every year in dealing with the loss of a loved one or family illness. The benefit continues to take place once a year and has helped 7 local families thus far in dealing with the financial and emotional hardships of unexpected death/illness. Jessica has also served on the Diamonds and Denim event committee for the Wamego Hospital Foundation for 4 years. This annual event raises money to provide updated equipment and resources to assist physicians and staff in providing utmost quality care to local citizens. Plus it has one of the most fun live auctions! Make plans to attend and see for yourself!

Most recently, she served on the Development committee for the Columbian Theater Foundation of Wamego. Her role was assisting in organizing events to raise funds for necessary updates and maintenance. The event "Bottles and Brews" of 2017 was a smashing success! They are looking forward to doing it again in 2018 so don't miss the opportunity to purchase tickets! Its a night of great food, drinks, and laughter while strolling the businesses in lovely downtown Wamego!

Next up, Melissa Brinkman.

While Melissa has been involved in the real estate industry for several years, when she received her Realtor designation, she simultaneously jumped in at the various opportunities to serve her community.

Primarily, Melissa has served on a number of boards helping promote and develop organizations. Since 2015 Melissa has been on the Friends of the Sunset Zoo Board and served on their committees for Wine in the Wild and Brew at the Zoo. Two wonderful and super fun events to attend if you've never attended!

As Realtors in Manhattan, we belong to the Manhattan Association of Realtors where there are great opportunities to serve. For the past 2 years, Melissa has served as the co-chair for the Events Committee and the Chair of the Membership Committee.

As an avid runner and mom to a sweet and sassy two-year old, Melissa also quickly became interested in the Grils on the Run Flint Hills Program. This organization is focused on cultivating inner strength & confidence while developing an appreciation for health and fitness. Melissa is currently serving on their board of directors.
