Boom!

Bob Johnson, my father, served in the National Guard so the 4th of July easily became my absolute favorite holiday. My family typically celebrates the holiday over the course of several days!

Our tradition includes shooting fireworks off at my mom’s house in Concordia with my siblings and all of our children.

Another night, I’ll host a BBQ at my house for friends and neighbors; of course, you can bet we’ll be shooting off more fireworks!

Lastly, we always make it a point to head over to Wamego, KS for the charming parade, hours at the carnival and finish it off with the BEST fireworks display I’ve ever seen!

And every single year during the 30-minute display, I swear I get goosebumps thinking about how cool it is to be in the USA and how much I appreciate those protecting our country.

I’m so lucky to be located near Ft. Riley where I get to represent our soldiers every day!
